Your Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Elphinstone Expedition
- 04:00 AM – 05:00 AM (Approx.): Private A/C car pick-up from your Hurghada hotel. (Early start recommended for optimal experience).
- 08:00 AM (Approx.): Arrive at Abu Dabbab Bay, seamless transfer to our speed boat.
- 08:30 AM (Approx.): Thrilling speed boat departure for Elphinstone Reef (approx. 30-35 mins).
- 09:00 AM – 09:30 AM (Approx.): Arrival at Elphinstone Reef & comprehensive dive briefing.
- 1st Dive: Elphinstone North Plateau (Drift Dive): Explore the northern plateau, a hotspot for potential hammerhead shark sightings and vibrant soft corals. Depth up to 40m (130ft) depending on certification. Duration approx. 45-60 mins.
- Surface Interval: Refreshments and snacks on board, debriefing, and preparation for the next dive.
- 2nd Dive: Elphinstone South Plateau (Drift Dive): Dive the southern plateau, a prime location for encountering majestic oceanic whitetip sharks, especially during peak season (Oct-Dec). Depth up to 40m (130ft). Duration approx. 45-60 mins.
- 02:00 PM – 02:30 PM (Approx.): Depart Elphinstone Reef for Abu Dabbab.
- 03:00 PM (Approx.): Arrive back at Abu Dabbab Bay.
- 03:30 PM (Approx.): Private A/C car transfer from Abu Dabbab back to your hotel in Hurghada.
- 06:00 PM – 07:00 PM (Approx.): Arrive back at your hotel in Hurghada.

Important Notes & Prerequisites
- Certification Requirement: This program is only suitable for experienced divers. We highly recommend an Advanced Open Water Diver (AOWD) certification and at least 50 logged dives due to the challenging conditions and potential strong currents at Elphinstone.
- Currents: Elphinstone is famous for its unpredictable and strong currents. Your dive guide will assess conditions on the day and adjust the dive plan accordingly. Be prepared for potential negative entries and swift descents.
- Marine Life Encounters: While Elphinstone is a prime location for shark sightings, marine life encounters are never guaranteed. However, the reef itself is teeming with incredible corals and diverse reef fish, promising an awe-inspiring experience.
- Booking: Pre-booking is essential to secure your private car and speed boat.
